One of my BIGGEST worries is that Fire's babies nurse well the first 12-18 hours to make sure they get good colostrum from Fire. It is essential that they get her good Parvovirus immunity. While my home has been cleaned up and down and through, over and over. I'm still very nervous about the situation.
The puppies did well, ALL pups nursed well and ALL pups made some slight gains the first 24 hours. Fire is being a good mom, and I'm doing my best to keep her life happy and keep the chaos at my house to a minimum these first few days.
The pups continue to do well and make good gains, things are amazingly uneventful! I'm still sleeping with Fire and the pups in the 2nd bedroom but I think in a few days I will move back to my own room!
